As there is no interview exemption for all first-time applicants, they have to wait for a long time for the visa appointment.
But America is trying to solve this problem for Indians. American embassies in Bangkok, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam complete the process within two to three weeks instead of Indians having to wait for months for B1 and B2 visas. Indians whose US visas expired four years ago can get visas faster if they apply through these countries.

Currently, if you apply for US B1 and B2 visas from Kolkata, you have to wait 589 days for the interview. From Mumbai, we have to wait for 638 days. 609 days in Chennai, 596 days in Hyderabad, and 589 days in Delhi. But if Indians go to Bangkok and apply for a visa from the US Embassy there, the interview process will be completed within 14 days. Those who want to get visas quickly can go to these countries.

The US Embassy in Delhi said on Saturday that it had processed one lakh visa applications in January. It is noteworthy that this is the first time after July 2019 that so many applications have been examined in a single month. It said that more visas will be processed as the staff will increase in the coming days.
